Vladimir Veljašević
is one of the most significant artists in the field of graphics on the contemporary Serbian art scene. He is a professor of Graphics at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Belgrade.
One of the basic characteristics of Veljašević’s work is simplicity and refinement in the use of basic colours. This way, he demonstrates and proves that it is possible to communicate and present ideas and thoughts in a simple, comprehensible and clear manner, without complications. Naturally, if the thought in question is comprehensible and clear.
Works of Vladimir Veljašević are kept in graphic collections of the Museum of Contemporary Art in Belgrade, National Museum in Belgrade and many others in Serbia and abroad (Japan, Spain, Egypt, etc.). His works have been exhibited in Serbia and worldwide at 21 solo and over 300 group exhibitions.
He won 12 awards in the field of graphics.
